SNAP® (Stop Now And Plan) is a proven program that teaches children with behavioural problems, and their parents, how to make better choices ‘in the moment’. In just 13 weeks SNAP can improve self-control and decision making. For over 30 years, this Canadian-made program has kept children in school and out of trouble. Developed at the Child Development Institute, an accredited children’s mental health agency in Toronto, SNAP programs are gender-sensitive and oriented around simple to learn techniques. The Centre made SNAP its inaugural investment in 2013.

The Mentoring Partnership (TMP) coordinates mentoring for skilled immigrants by pairing skilled recent immigrants with established professionals in occupation-specific mentoring relationships to break down barriers for employment, promote integration into the workforce and promote a stronger Canadian economy.

TMP will scale by enhancing its brand, systems and organization to optimize its best-in-class program to achieve greater value with current resources and by growing its wide network of partners in the GTA and nationally.

Rumie delivers high-quality open-source learning content through affordable tablets and its Android app, the LearnCloud. Rumie preloads $50 tablets with curated libraries of high-quality content and delivers them to education organizations who implement them in their programs. In Canada, Rumie is working with Pathways to Education and Woodgreen to curate and deliver skills training, financial literacy and health content.

SmartSAVER is a creative marketing initiative involving public, private and community partners that helps lower-income parents become successful savers using Registered Education Savings Plans (RESPs) and the Canada Learning Bond (CLB). SmartSAVER is a program of the Omega Foundation, a charitable foundation dedicated to enhancing the financial literacy and capacity of low-income Canadians. With support from LEAP, SmartSAVER will increase the uptake of the Canada Learning Bond from 30 to 40%.
